Recently, many Chinese tourists have posted videos describing their experiences of being extorted by local police while traveling in Russia. One tourist recorded evidence of the police demanding money. The officers took his passport and threatened him with handcuffs. After failing to get any money from him, they eventually forced him to delete the footage and let him leave. The tourist warned that when Chinese people drive in Russia, if they are stopped by two police officers and a police car, it is basically just a roadblock to demand money.
