Typhoon “Hongxia” also known as Noul made landfall along the coast of Huidong County, Guangdong on July 26, with winds reaching Category 14 intensity. The storm’s rain bands continued moving inland, forcing nearly 900,000 people to evacuate. Many parts of Guangdong were flooded. Homes and property were damaged, ground floors became unlivable, vehicles were submerged, and streets turned into muddy flood zones. Power outages, communication failures, and transport disruptions left residents struggling in the dark and rising waters.
