Trump Eyes New Deals in Upcoming Beijing Visit

WASHINGTON—U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to return from China with new deals for the United States made during his trip to Beijing on May 14 and 15, according to the White House.
During his visit, Trump is expected to address challenging topics with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, including rare earth exports, Taiwan, Iran, artificial intelligence, cyber threats, and nuclear programs.
“This will be a visit of tremendous symbolic significance. But of course, President Trump never travels for symbolism alone,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told reporters during a call on May 10.
“The American people can expect the president to deliver more good deals on behalf of our country.”…
