Since 2020, the continuous harassment by force reflects what the CCP propagates as “two sides of one family.” Even with such data and facts, many Taiwanese are still easily misled by the occasional “goodwill” gestures from CCP leaders and are willing to believe that Xi Jinping will retake Taiwan’s territory while allowing its freedom and democracy. But one must ask oneself, if it is truly a family, why the need for continuous military harassment and constant intimidation?
