The number of Mark Six Snowball lottery draws in Hong Kong will increase from about seven to at most 12 each year, with the first division prize of some also being boosted to hit HK$100 million in the future.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club said on Saturday evening it would adjust the snowball pool arrangement to increase its reserve and meet the public’s demand for larger prizes from Tuesday next week.

“By boosting the reserve pool, the number of Snowball draws each year will increase from approximately seven to a maximum of 12 progressively in the coming year,” club said.

“The First Division Prize of some Snowball draws will increase substantially to a maximum of HK$100 million in the future.”

The club said the minimum First Division Prize Fund at HK$8 million for each draw would remain the same, as would other Mark Six allocations, including the percentage for first to third prizes and the fixed amount for fourth to seventh prizes.
