Netherlands Shuts Its Consulate in Chongqing, China; Lithography Machine Sales End Entirely

As foreign direct investment (FDI) in China reaches a 30-year low, the Dutch government has decided to close its consulate in Chongqing, a city that once served as a stronghold for foreign investment in southwestern China. More Western countries are decoupling from China, and the closure of the Chongqing consulate may mark the beginning of other countries shutting down their missions in China.
