On August 12, the ceiling on the fourth floor of Yuanda Shopping Center in Changchun, Jilin Province, collapsed after a water pipe burst.
Videos showed water leaking from multiple areas of the fourth-floor ceiling. Water poured down from the ceiling and the edges of the floor, forming a large curtain of water. One woman slipped and fell on the wet floor.
