As China has become increasingly enclosed in recent years, it’s hard to tell if what’s happening in China is real or fake. The 135th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, kicked off on April 15, 2024. It has always been known as “the barometer and weathervane of China’s exports.” To highlight the importance of the Canton Fair, Chinese Premier Li Qiang went to Guangdong to reiterate China’s unswerving commitment to expanding its openness to the outside world at a high level and promoting free trade and convenient investment.
