China’s Jobless Rate Soars: At 35, Seen as Too Old, Countless Interviews in a Year, Still No Job

In February, the youth unemployment rate in China rose once again, another sign of China’s slow economic recovery.
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on March 20, the unemployment rate for urban 16- to 24-year-olds, excluding students, was 15.3% in February, an increase of 0.7% since January.
