On September 9, a shocking factory video showing an extreme incident spread widely across major online platforms, putting Chinese new energy battery giant CATL under intense scrutiny. Online posts claimed that in the standardized cleanroom of CATL’s Yibin Power Battery Industrial Park in Sichuan Province, a production line worker allegedly lost control of his bodily functions after a shift supervisor refused his request to use the restroom. The worker then reportedly broke down emotionally, removed his work uniform, ran naked through the workshop, and threw feces at the supervisor who had denied his request.
