Zhang Xiaolei disclosed further details of the contract dispute to the media, claiming that over the past 20 years, Songsan Motors invested 235 million RMB to commission BYD for manufacturing. However, BYD delayed delivery for up to 25 months, and the ultimately delivered vehicles were deemed substandard, with falsified environmental protection checklists and “irregular products” that hadn’t undergone RDE testing. This operation resulted in the inability to fulfill tens of thousands of orders.
