House GOP Releases Blueprint for $95 Billion Reconciliation Package

House Republicans released a budget blueprint on July 15 to pass a third bill that would bypass the Senate filibuster.
The budget resolution calls for allocating $95 billion for defense, farm aid, and state efforts to implement voter ID requirements in elections. This includes $73 billion for defense and intelligence amid the Iran war, $10 billion for election integrity efforts, and $12 billion in farm aid.
Both the House and Senate must pass identical resolutions to unlock the reconciliation process, which allows bills related to taxing, spending, and the national debt to pass with a simple majority. Fifty-one votes are also needed to pass a budget resolution….
