Hong Kong police have launched an investigation after a man and his two young children were found unconscious in a flat in Yau Ma Tei, with a knife found at the scene.

The case came to light at around 3.15pm on Wednesday when the mother, 40, contacted authorities after receiving a call from a tuition centre about her eight-year-old son’s unexplained absence.
She went to the flat at Block B of Kam Wah Building on Canton Road near Waterloo Road and found the family members.
Emergency responders arrived and firefighters forced entry into the flat.
The man, 40, was unconscious. The son and three-year-old daughter had knife injuries and were also unconscious.

Blood was found at the scene and a knife was seized.
