The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) military, through the official TikTok account of the Zhengzhou Joint Logistics Support Center, released a short video about the illegality of bypassing internet restrictions (commonly called “jumping the firewall”). The video, however, sparked online backlash because it included detailed steps on how to bypass the restrictions and which software to download. Netizens mocked it, asking whether it was meant to educate people about the law or serve as a tutorial.
