Now, however, observers say he shows clear signs of deep anxiety about the armed forces. He has even ordered higher military alert levels during the holiday period. Some evidence points to recruitment videos from the Central Intelligence Agency having an impact. This has led to growing speculation about increasing divisions inside the Chinese Communist Party.
