In late September 2025, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in the UK suddenly published an internal Russian document. They stated to have uncovered a contract, more than 800 pages long. What did it say?
It stated that Russia was preparing to sell a complete set of airborne operations systems to China—this included armored vehicles, artillery, parachuting systems, and full training services, with instructor teams coming directly to China to teach how to fight.
The contract price? The Washington Post estimated a high price of $580 million, while the Associated Press gave a more conservative estimate of just over $200 million.
