The Trump administration is still engaged in negotiations with trading partners despite an appeals court ruling that determined most of the president’s tariffs are illegal, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said on Aug. 31.
During an interview with Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” program, Greer confirmed that the administration will appeal the ruling.
“So this is not over. All the tariffs are still in effect,” he said.
“Our trading partners, they continue to work very closely with us on negotiations. People are moving forward with their deals, regardless of what this court may say in the interim.”
While Greer did not say specifically which trading partners the United States is still in negotiations with, he mentioned speaking with one trade minister the previous morning….
