US Sanctions Hezbollah Finance Operatives

The United States sanctioned financial operatives and entities linked to Hezbollah, the State and Treasury departments said.
The measures, announced on Feb. 10, designate four entities and two individuals accused of supporting the Iran-backed group’s global financing operations.
“Hezbollah is a threat to peace and stability in the Middle East,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement. “Treasury will work to cut these terrorists off from the global financial system to give Lebanon a chance to be peaceful and prosperous again.”
Among the entities sanctioned is Jood, a Lebanese government-licensed company supervised by Al-Qard Al-Hassan. The Treasury Department said Al-Qard Al-Hassan presents itself as a nongovernmental organization but in reality provides financial services to Hezbollah….
