President Donald Trump said on July 17 that he had asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release “any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony” from the case involving financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!”
On Friday, Bondi said the DOJ has filed a motion to unseal the grand jury transcripts.
Epstein has generated intense online scrutiny for years, especially after dying in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting prosecution on charges of overseeing a multi-year conspiracy to sex traffic minors….
