WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump hosted the 2025 Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers at the White House on Jan. 15.
It was the second White House visit by the team in two years.
The Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers in six games for their second straight Stanley Cup title.
“After a shortened off-season and a regular season plagued by injuries, the Florida Panthers entered the 2025 playoffs with extraordinary pressure to defend the title, but they also had an amazing aura about them. It was called the aura of winning,” Trump said with the players and other Panthers personnel standing behind him.
“You led the finals for over 255 minutes, the most of any team in NHL history, and you denied Canada the Stanley Cup for the 32nd straight year,” he said….
