President Donald Trump on Sunday called on lawmakers to add Iran to a Russia sanctions bill that was originally introduced by the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
“That’s what Lindsey wanted to do, and it was going to happen. IMPORTANT!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump did not elaborate on how he would modify the bill or specify the sanctions he wants added.
Trump’s comments were made a day after the U.S. State Department issued a worldwide travel caution for Americans, warning of the potential for further escalation involving Iran and cautioning that groups supportive of Iran could target U.S. interests overseas. …
