As many fans stood just outside or inside the Kerry Hotel in hopes of attracting their favourite players’ attention, others walked around the premises and along the waterfront to get a prime view of the show over Victoria Harbour, which began at 7.30pm.

“It’s my first time seeing it, and I’m looking for something a little flashy,” said Ha Byung-jun, a 21-year-old student and Tottenham fan from South Korea.

The drone show featured Tottenham-themed animations and images, paying tribute to the club’s heritage and passionate global supporters.

According to the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s website, the drone show aimed to mark the team’s first match against bitter North London rivals Arsenal outside the UK, and pay tribute to the club’s history.

During the 20-minute show, fans cheered, clapped, shouted and even broke out into chants. Some kept looking up to the windows of the players’ rooms to see if they were watching.

Tottenham fan David Park said he found the whole performance captivating, especially with the rotating trophy and cockerel, which features on the club’s crest.
