These videos show the student dormitories at Jinan University in Guangzhou. In July this year, students couldn’t tolerate the poor living conditions and decided to expose the situation online.
One video shows a middle school dormitory in Hengshui, Hebei, which looks more like a prisoner-of-war camp. 12 bunk beds are crammed in a room of less than 20 square meters. The beds are broken, and the room is filled with dust. The living conditions are terrible, yet this is where 24 students, all 15 years old, are expected to spend three years of their life.
