#Chinainsights

Child trafficking is a long-standing problem in China. Regarding the number of missing children, China currently has no official national statistics, nor does it have a national missing persons information system. Mainland media have reported that the number of missing children in China reaches 200,000 every year, with an average of about 550 children missing every day. Nearly 80% of missing children are abducted, and the probability of being found is only 1‰.
