Recently, there’s been news circulating in Chinese cross-border e-commerce groups about 15 US customs clearance brokers being shut down. Some merchants on Chinese TikTok, Douyin have been complaining about their goods being stuck in the US, resulting in huge losses.
The US Customs and Border Protection, CBP, Recently announced that they are suspending the “small package exemption clearance” for six customs brokers. This affects billions of dollars worth of online orders and thousands of tons of goods from China, which are now delayed or stuck due to the customs issue.
