US President Trump has ordered a 10% tariff increase on Chinese goods, starting February 4. This executive order is aimed at pressuring Beijing to crack down on fentanyl shipments to the US. It’s important to note that this is an additional tariff on top of the existing ones, with Chinese goods already facing an average of about 25% tariffs. With the new 10% increase, the total tariff on Chinese exports to the US will be around 35%.
