According to the latest forecast by the Hong Kong Observatory, it will be relatively warm and sunny over the weekend with the mercury registering between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius (64 and 73 degrees Fahrenheit), before the temperature plunges again on Monday.
“A cold front is expected to move across the coast of southern China on Monday. It will become cool with one or two rain patches over the region,” the forecaster said.
“It will be cold in the morning over inland areas.”
The temperatures would drop to between 15 and 19 degrees on Monday, dip further to as low as 13 degrees the next day, then gradually rise to between 16 and 20 degrees next Sunday.

The forecaster said the associated northeast monsoon would be gradually replaced by an easterly airstream next week, leading to cloudier and windy weather over the coast of Guangdong in the middle and latter parts of the week.
