Taiwanese singer and actress Vivian Hsu recently revealed that she has just recovered from thyroid cancer and aims to inspire and uplift others facing similar challenges through her experience.

Hsu, 49, expressed her fears about losing her voice upon being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in February. However, she has made a full recovery following surgery and rehabilitation and has resumed her routine of working out five days a week.
She shared her personal journey to emphasise the importance of regular health check-ups and to encourage those in comparable situations.
Hsu’s music career has also resumed with the release of her new Mandarin song, “Catch Me”, for the film Doubles Match, in which she plays a leading role.
Born in 1975 to a Hakka father from Guangdong province in southern China and a Taiwanese native Atayal mother, Hsu is the second of three children.
As a premature infant, Hsu recalled being considered unattractive at birth and earning the nickname “cobra” from neighbours. Someone even offered to buy her, but her mother refused the offer, despite it could potentially improve their family’s financial struggles.
