So, what is the “Chinese flavor” of education? In recent years, under the leadership of Xi Jinping, the Chinese authorities have continuously strengthened ideological education. The outside world has noticed that this move has further promoted Chinese education’s “red” turn. The intensity of systematic brainwashing education for the next generation is constantly increasing.
In 2023, “Xi Jinping’s New Era Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” will officially become a compulsory course from elementary school to university. This is what Xi longs for, or the ideal education in his mind: that every generation from elementary school to university must learn Xi Jinping’s Thought, referred to as “Xi Thought.”
