The Chuncheon branch of the Seoul High Court sentenced the 24-year-old on charges that included rape, illegal imprisonment and indecent assault, according to The Korea Times.
He was convicted of raping his then-girlfriend six times between March and April last year. According to prosecutors, he confined the woman for several hours and sexually assaulted her after she said she wanted to end their relationship.
She had asked to break up with him after finding sexually explicit photos and videos of other women on his phone.
At the time of the charge, he was already on trial for similar offences, including raping a former girlfriend, threatening to release a video of the assault, and sexual intercourse with a minor in 2022.
But prosecutors were having difficulty proving the second ex-girlfriend’s accusation against him – until she brought in a 39-minute security camera video, reported The Korea Herald.
