South Korea to Order Airlines Operating Boeing Jets to Examine Fuel Switches

South Korea’s transport ministry said on Monday it is preparing to order all airlines operating Boeing aircraft in the country to examine fuel switches, in accordance with a 2018 advisory from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The foreign media spokesperson for the ministry did not give a timeline for the implementation of the checks.
The Epoch Times has contacted Boeing and the South Korean Ministry of Land, Transport, and Infrastructure for comment.
Fuel switches, and particularly their locks, have come under increased scrutiny after last month’s publication of a preliminary report into Air India’s fatal Boeing 787-8 crash by India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB)….
