Only one senior official, Zhang Shengmin, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, accompanied him. In the current Central Military Commission, several high-ranking officials, such as Zhang Youxia, He Weidong, Liu Zhenli, Miao Hua, and Li Shangfu, have all been removed from their positions.
