Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Aug. 6 that he has been discharged from a rehabilitation facility and will be going home.
“On the advice of my doctors, I’ll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home during the state work period, and I’ll continue to engage with my staff and colleagues on important Senate business,” McConnell, 84, said in a statement.
He thanked friends, colleagues, and Kentucky residents for wishing him well, and the facility’s workers for helping care for him.
The senator did not provide any indication of when he will return to the Senate, from which he has been absent since June, and a spokeswoman for McConnell declined to provide an estimated date of return….
