The most recent escape occurred on Tuesday at Sau Mau Ping Police Station, where a 32-year-old woman fled while under investigation for an assault case dating back to June 17 in Ngau Tau Kok.
She was arrested for allegedly pushing her 97-year-old grandfather to the ground during a dispute over money. The elderly man was conscious when taken to hospital.
While under investigation at the station, the woman fled custody, a spokesman said.
She was quickly recaptured and rearrested for attempting to escape lawful detention shortly after the incident.
