Hong Kong police are searching for two suspects after a resident was attacked with a knife in a quiet, upscale residential area of Sha Tin on Sunday and later died in hospital.

According to a police source, the victim, 52, was a member of the Wo Shing Wo triad society. He was chased and slashed by the attackers who then fled the scene in a taxi, which was later located on Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Road.
Shocked passers-by called police, and emergency responders found the man unconscious. He was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin, where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident occurred at around 5.25pm near the intersection of Lai Wo Lane and Sui Wo Road near Sha Tin Junior School, operated by the English Schools Foundation, in Fo Tan.
