Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday that Russian nighttime strikes damaged over a dozen civilian facilities across Ukraine, leaving thousands without power, as US-led peace talks on halting the war press on.
“It is important that everyone now sees what Russia is doing … for this is clearly not about ending the war,” Zelensky said on social media, adding: “They still aim to destroy our state and inflict maximum pain on our people.”
He spoke after Russia launched more drone and missile strikes targeting energy and port infrastructure.

An attack on the Black Sea city of Odesa caused grain silos to catch fire at the port, according to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Reconstruction Minister, Oleksiy Kuleba.
The strikes also damaged energy infrastructure in settlements across the region, he said.

Energy facilities in the Chernihiv, Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv regions sustained damage too, Kuleba said.
