A source said on Saturday that a woman, now 44, filed a police report late last month alleging she had been sexually assaulted twice at a church in Sham Shui Po between September 1993 and March 1994. She was 13 years old at the time.

The man was accused of sexually assaulting the minor while she was studying inside the church.

The source said the assaults were alleged to have taken place at the Hong Kong & Macau Lutheran Living Stone Church. Management had assisted police with their investigation and helped look into whether there were other potential victims, the insider said.

Police said officers had arrested a 66-year-old man in Fanling district on Friday on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 16 years of age, buggery with a girl under 21 and indecency with a child under 16.
