Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced on Nov. 21 that she is resigning from Congress, with her resignation taking effect on Jan. 5, 2026.
Greene posted a video, along with a lengthy statement, on social media explaining her decision, citing a recent fallout with President Donald Trump, who has withdrawn his support for her.
“I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” she stated….
