The Medical Council’s ruling on Sunday over gynaecologist Dr Stephen Suen Sik-hung brought an end to six days of hearings since March.

But the inquiry panel noted it was “unbecoming” for staff of a medical clinic to tell inappropriate jokes in the workplace.

A delighted Suen, a prominent obstetrics and gynaecology specialist, cheered out “justice will prevail” as the ruling was announced.

The complaints against Suen first surfaced in 2022 when several of the nurses at his clinic in Tsim Sha Tsui accused him of making remarks of a sexual nature.
