By 1pm, hundreds of Hongkongers were already queuing outside the branch on Stanley Street.
The betting centre holds a record of selling 47 Mark Six first prize tickets, the most of all branches. The last time a first prize ticket was drawn from the branch was in 2018.
A staff member said on Tuesday afternoon that the estimated queuing time could be more than one hour.
According to the Jockey Club, the jackpot of Tuesday’s Mark Six draw is estimated to reach HK$128 million for a single HK$10 winning unit, marking the highest-ever payout in the history of the lottery.

Hong Kong resident Yan Yau, who had queued for more than half an hour, said she felt confident about her odds with the Stanley Street branch’s blessings.
