Hong Kong police are investigating the discovery of a headless, dismembered body in the city’s upscale Mid-Levels neighbourhood during a severe rainstorm.

The force said that it received a report at 7.05am on Tuesday from a passer-by who claimed to have spotted a “human-shaped object” near 45 Kennedy Road.
The body, found under a tree, was missing its head and one leg.
Officers later discovered the leg across the road outside St Francis’ Canossian College. They also partially closed off sections of Kennedy Road to look for the head.
Police did not reveal the gender of the deceased, but said investigations were under way amid heavy showers and a black rainstorm warning.
