The father of a woman wanted for taking part in an election organised by “Hong Kong Parliament”, a group deemed subversive by authorities, has been brought in by police to assist with their investigation, the Post has learned.

A source familiar with the matter said that Ng Chiu-fai, 55, the father of wanted activist Agnes Ng, 28, was taken to Sheung Shui Police Station for questioning on Thursday.
“The investigation is expected to wrap up around noon,” the source said.
The elder Ng was the third family member of activists wanted for their involvement with “Hong Kong Parliament” to be summoned by police.
Agnes Ng was among 15 fugitives who were each slapped with a HK$200,000 (US$25,450) bounty by authorities in July for their links with the group.

Founded in 2022 and run mainly by self-exiled activists, “Hong Kong Parliament” formed an “electoral committee” in Canada to hold an election that it said “represents, solidifies and revives Hong Kong people’s rights of self-determination”.
