The arrival hall at Hong Kong airport is buzzing with excitement as enthusiastic fans and proud members of the public gather to give Paris Olympics swimming double bronze medallist Siobhan Haughey a rapturous welcome home.
The 26-year-old clinched bronze in the 100m freestyle final on Thursday, touching the wall in 52.33 seconds. She finished just 0.17 seconds behind winner Sarah Sjostrom, the world record-holder, who finished in 52.16.
Haughey two days earlier won another bronze in the 200m freestyle with a time of 1:54.55.
She made Hong Kong history as the only swimmer to win 100m and 200m freestyle medals in two Olympic Games.
She now boasts four medals from two Olympics as she won silver in both the 100m and 200m freestyle in Tokyo three years ago.

She is also the third-fastest woman of all time in the 100m freestyle after she clocked 52.02 seconds at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Germany last October.
In addition to Haughey’s two bronze medals, Hong Kong’s achievements at the Paris Games include two gold medals in fencing.
Olympic champion Cheung Ka-long took one and the other went to épéeist Vivian Kong Man-wai.
