North Korea has rolled out what it calls “the most powerful nuclear strategic weapon”, showcasing its new Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile, according to Pyongyang’s state media on Saturday.

The solid-fuel missile and other weapons were driven through Kim Il-sung Square on Friday night during a massive military parade.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said in a speech at the parade that sovereignty could be secured only through military might.
Unlike liquid-fuel missiles, solid-fuel rockets are more mobile, difficult to detect by spy satellites, and ready to be launched at short notice.
Theoretically, Hwasong-20 has a range that could cover all US territories.
