On the evening of September 27, a clash erupted between vendors and police at Kunming’s Haile World Night Market. Videos show police maintaining order under the cover of night as vendors threw benches, chairs, wooden boards, and kitchenware at officers. The scene was chaotic, with debris scattered everywhere. The conflict continued intermittently for about six hours, with police reinforcements arriving and making arrests. It subsided around 3 AM the next day.
