Police said emergency services were called to Po Sing Court on Shek Ku Lung Road in Kowloon City at around 5.50am, after the 21-year-old man was found unconscious on a platform on the third floor.

Paramedics rushed him to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei, but he was later pronounced dead.

A source said an investigation showed the victim, a Pakistani man holding a Hong Kong identity card, entered the building at about 2am to visit a relative living there, but no one answered the door of the family member’s flat.

Police said surveillance footage showed the man coming up to the rooftop at around 3am and deciding to wait around there before deciding to sleep there about an hour later.
