The scheme, which will continue until the end of November, is also intended to mark the coming 15th National Games, co-hosted for the first time by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, according to the latter’s government on Sunday.
Officially titled “National Games Cohesion, Community Consumption Awards”, it is the fourth initiative of its kind by the Macau authorities to stimulate the economy after Covid.
This time, the scheme is jointly organised by Macau’s government and the Macau Chamber of Commerce.
Under the programme, residents who make an e-wallet payment of 50 patacas (HK$48.50) or more at a participating business on weekdays will be eligible for a lucky draw to win e-vouchers that can be used on weekends.
