Tang Baiqiao, a prominent leader in the US-based Chinese pro-democracy movement, wrote on X:
“Was this a spontaneous protest? Are these just regular Americans? Why are they all young men? Why do they look like foreigners? When they put on military uniforms, they are soldiers! We must expose the hidden hand behind the Los Angeles riot and severely punish those responsible!”
