Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) asked Noem if she would support his legislation to reunite children who were separated from their parents “as a result of the so-called family separation policy in the last administration.”
“Senator, the Trump administration never had a family separation policy. They had a zero-tolerance policy, which said that our laws would be followed,” Noem replied.
