The incident came to light on May 9 when JTBC News, a nightly newscast from a South Korean television network with more than 4.5 million followers on social media, exposed the influencer’s controversial actions in its investigative programme Crime Chief.
The male influencer, whose identity remains undisclosed and who claims to have more than eight years of live-streaming experience, has uploaded more than 4,000 videos to his channel, including over 30 specifically focused on breast milk transactions.
In the videos, he is seen approaching nursing mothers on the streets of the Philippines and offering them 500 pesos (US$9) in exchange for their breast milk.

Sometimes he even hands the money directly to the infants instead of their mothers.
